I have been a runner most of my life, but it wasn’t until my mid 30’s that I decided to tackle my first marathon…NYC.. After crossing that finish line, I completely caught the marathon bug! I was determined to run the Boston Marathon. I am a Deputy Sheriff in Suffolk County NY and also a Police officer in a local village part time, so naturally I was looking for a charity to run with that also had law enforcement ties. Cops for Kids with Cancer and my dear friend Bill, graciously accepted me as a member of their team. Since 2013, I have run 8 Boston marathons with Cops for Kids.
I am blessed to be able to turn my passion for running into something that will help children who are fighting for their health. My fundraising goal is $10,000 with the hopes of raising as much money as possible to help kids who are fighting cancer. Any donation no matter the size is greatly appreciated and makes a huge difference!
