I have dreamed of running the Boston Marathon since I moved to Boston seven years ago. I have been given an amazing opportunity to run my first marathon with the Massachusetts State Police this year. Being part of this team is a special honor, especially following my recent marriage into the McCarthy family who have been first responders in the Boston area for many generations. The MSP team is raising funds for Cops for Kids with Cancer – a Boston-based non-profit that supports local families who are facing economic hardships due to their child’s illness.
