I am 27 years old and a Boston native. I now live in Rumford Maine and I am a Trooper with the Maine State Police. I have been running for over 20 years. During that time I’ve completed several half marathons and two marathons, including Boston. Running has always been the sport that had my heart at hello. I have a personal connection with both law enforcement and running, as my family was directly affected by the 2013 bombing. My family members were at the finish line cheering when the attack changed our lives. This drove me to fiercely pursue a career in law enforcement as well as further my desire to run Boston the following year. To me, the term Boston Strong is personal. And now, to run The Boston Marathon as a State Trooper.. It means everything to me.
