Rhode Island State Police
On Monday, April 20th, Rhode Island State Police will be participating in the 124th running of the Boston Marathon participating for the charity Cops for Kids with Cancer. Sergeant Peter Cambio, Acting Corporal Roupen Bastajian, Trooper Daniel O’Neil, Trooper Austin LaRiviere, Trooper Tyler Adams and Trooper Daniel Fanous, will be embarking on the 26.2 mile journey to the finish line in the City of Boston. As a team, we are committed to raising $15,000.
The 2020 marathon will be my first marathon ever, and I am grateful for the opportunity to run it. My marathon journey started in 2011 when I was in Afghanistan. I ran a 10K charity race on base to benefit a local school for women and then I paced a fellow soldier for a 10K ruck race later that night. After both races, a friend of mine told me I almost ran a half marathon in one day. Ever since then, I always wanted to attempt the Boston Marathon. I will have the honor to run for Cops for Kids with Cancer and any support from you will be greatly appreciated.
I am running the 2020 Boston Marathon and am looking for your support as I raise money for Cops for Kids with Cancer. I have run 5 half marathons and this will be my first full marathon. I thank you all for your support and donations as I undertake this endeavor. I am so thankful to be included on the Massachusetts State Police team and appreciate your support. Thank you!
Thank you the support!
I’d like to begin by thanking everyone for the unwavering support leading up to the 2020 Boston Marathon. It’s a total team effort getting across that finish line. This year we will be running with a heavy heart in memory of DLT. William “Billy” Coulter. Billy poured his heart into the Boston Marathon and especially Cops for Kids with Cancer. Billy was an exceptional advocate for the organization. We will also be running in memory of LT. Richard “Richie” Sementelli.
I am excited to be running this year’s Boston Marathon with the Massachusetts State Police Ironman Team. June 18, 2020, will mark 10 years since my father, Massachusetts State Police Sergeant Douglas Weddleton, was killed in the line of duty. This year, I was looking to do something special to keep his spirit alive. The Boston Marathon, with its rich history and amazing charitable partnerships, felt like the perfect event to do just that.

The 2020 Boston Marathon will be the third Marathon that I will run to raise money for “Cops for kids with cancer”. The first time I ran the marathon, back in 2017, I was worried about the unknown. One day I was at GHQ talking to DLT Coulter and I asked him if he had any advice for me before the big day. He told me “you will not be winning first place. Take your time, and enjoy the experience”. I took those words to heart.
Thank you for your support in helping me raise money to run the 2020 Boston Marathon for Cops For Kids With Cancer! I am honored to be running representing the Massachusetts State Police, and I look forward to completing one of the most iconic marathons in the world, right here in our home state, to raise money and awareness for kids with cancer. We could not do it without you, thank you!!
I am thrilled to be running my first marathon for Cops for Kids with Cancer. I have been able to experience the spectacle of the Boston Marathon from the sidelines for the past 4 years. I cannot believe that I am going to be one of the lunatics running/walking/crawling 26.2 miles on April 20th! I am ecstatic to be able to share this experience with my inspirational and amazing sister, as she completes her 5th consecutive Boston Marathon.
This year I will be running my fifth consecutive Boston Marathon and am humbled to be running on behalf of the legend DLT Billy Coulter and Cops for Kids With Cancer. Thank you for visiting my fundraising page, and thank you for your support! I wouldn’t be here without it.
I am a member of the New Hampshire State Police and am running the Boston Marathon this year to show support for friends and family. I have not run a marathon before, but have been training for one for an extended amount of time. It has always been a goal for me to run a marathon, and I thought there would be no better marathon to run than the Boston Marathon as my first.
Everyone’s life has been touched by cancer in one way or another. My mother lost her battle with the disease in February of 2015. I know firsthand the emotional toll, and financial strain that families endure when a loved one goes through treatment. Cops For Kids With Cancer is an amazing charitable organization focused on raising funds to provide assistance to families of children fighting cancer, to improve their quality of life.
This will be my first Boston Marathon and my first for CFKWC as I am running with Team MSP. A child’s cancer diagnosis is something no parent should ever have experience. Not only is it emotionally overwhelming, it can also be financially burdensome. Children are our greatest treasure. Help me support Cops for Kids with Cancer so we never have to deny a child a chance at life
I’ll be running the Boston Marathon for my third year as a member of the MA State Police Marathon Team raising money for the charity Cops For Kids With Cancer. This year will be a special year as we honor Detective Lieutenant William “Billy” Coulter. DLt. Coulter did so much for so many and will forever be an inspiration to us all. Thank you in advance for supporting me, the MSP Marathon team, and so importantly Cops For Kids With Cancer. This was a cause important to Billy and with your support, it shall ensure DLt. Coulter’s legacy lives on.
Please help me support Cops For Kids With Cancer as I run the Boston Marathon for the first time!
Four years with the Worcester Police Department, six years in the Marines, looking forward to running my first Boston Marathon.
Please help me in reaching my goal as I run in the 2020 Boston Marathon for Cops For Kids With Cancer.
My father lost a year-long battle with lung cancer in 2018. Having grown up running in Newton, I always knew I wanted to run the Boston Marathon, my dad cheering somewhere along the way. While he won’t be there physically, I know my dad will be proud of me and the cause for which I choose to run. Now if I can only get him to bring some cool and dry race day conditions.

On April 20, 2020 I will be running my 10th consecutive Boston Marathon and my 7th Boston Marathon in support of Cops For Kids With Cancer. It is an honor and a privilege to be a member of the Ironman Marathon Team and run the greatest race there is to raise money for an amazing charity. Thank you for your generosity and support!
This year I am running the 124th Boston Marathon, which will be my 9th Boston Marathon and 11th marathon overall. I have the privilege to be a part of the Massachusetts State Police marathon team which has committed to fundraising as much money as possible for the extraordinary organization, Cops For Kids With Cancer!
It is an honor to have the opportunity to run the 124th Boston Marathon, to fundraise for Cops for Kids with Cancer, and to commemorate Detective Lieutenant Bill Coulter. This is my very first marathon, and I will be running with Rachel Henderson, whose mother Rita passed away from cancer this past summer. Rita planted the seed for us to run this legendary race and she, along with her husband Phillip AND family and friends, is the inspiration to train and achieve our goals. Your donation is very much appreciated! Thank you!
I’m inspired by my dear friend, Detective Lt. Billy Coulter, to run another Boston Marathon and to raise funds for his favorite charity, Cops for Kids with Cancer. Billy “Ironman” Coulter of the Massachusetts State Police passed away this past fall and this is one of the ways I can keep his legacy alive. I am training lightly so I can finish my 24th consecutive Boston Marathon this year. As always I try to cross the finish line ahead of Retired Lt. Steve Pugsley.
This is my first marathon and I’m honored to run with Cops For Kids With Cancer and the Mass State Police. Even if my $1,000 goal is already met, this is an incredible organization so don’t hesitate. Thank you for the support!
Brandon Knox, fourth Boston Marathon Running for Cops for Kids With Cancer and the Massachusetts State Police. Thank you for the donations and helping with this great cause, which is focussed on raising funds to provide assistance to families of children fighting cancer, to improve their quality of life.
On April 20th, I will be running the Boston Marathon. This will be my 3rd marathon. I am honored to be running with the Massachusetts State Police team and raising money for Cops for Kids with Cancer. I would appreciate your support. I will be thinking of each of you throughout this endeavor.
Please help me in reaching my goal as I run in the 2020 Boston Marathon for Cops for Kids with Cancer. I will be running this year in honor of my beautiful niece Shannon Grenham and my good friend Jake Meunier. Both of these kids are cancer survivors, and I feel honored to be able to run for such an amazing charity.
Hello, this will be my 14th marathon and 11th Boston marathon I did not run last year or think that I would ever run again. However the death of Billy Colter has motivated me to get off the couch and run In his memory. Billy has always been an inspiration to me and a hero both on and off the job. to run in his memory and to help kids with cancer is all anyone needs for motivation.
Thank you for your support as I run in the 2020 Boston Marathon with the Massachusetts State Police Marathon Team to raise money for Cop For Kids With Cancer in memory of Detective Lieutenant Bill Coulter.
I am a member of the New Hampshire State Police. This April, I will be running the Boston Marathon for the third time. I am running to raise money for CFKWC, a great organization that I am honored to represent.
Thank you for your support in helping me raise my fundraising goal for “Cops For Kids With Cancer.” As a cancer survivor myself, it is an honor to be running the 2020 Boston Marathon and representing The Massachusetts State Police. The finances we raise help alleviate the financial burden families face when they get the devastating diagnosis of their child. Again, thank you for your donations and I’ll see you at the finish line!
My first Boston Marathon was in 2018 and the experience was something I will never forget. The weather was terrible, but the crowd still came out and cheered all the runners on. This will be my second and last Boston Marathon. Crossing the finish put an exclamation mark on the hard work and sacrifice that myself and family went through. I am happy to be part of the Cops for Kids with Cancer team as it means a lot to me as I am a police officer for the City of Holyoke and have two children of my own. Lets do this! Thank you to everyone for the support and encouragement.
Boston Bound For Billy
We’re running Boston 2020 in honor of Billy Coulter. Billy was passionate about running and loved getting others involved in the sport, so what better way to honor him than through running. Billy was Lisa’s boyfriend and she was doubting that she could run Boston without him. She won’t be alone – he’ll be with her – and so will we, her sisters Karin and Kristin. We call our team Boston Bound for Billy and ask that you consider donating to our page to support one of Billy’s other passions – CFKWC.
