In Memory of Billy Coulter
Bill served on the Massachusetts State Police for over 45 years, achieving the rank of Detective Lieutenant. He was a member of the Massachusetts State Police Commissioned Officers Association. Bill was a longtime cancer survivor and passionate about Cops for Kids with Cancer, where he was the Chairman at the time of his death. His other passion was physical fitness, completing over 20 Ironman Triathlons and 150 marathons, including 36 consecutive Boston Marathons and every Disney World Marathon up until his passing. The Mass State Police Striders (Ironman) Marathon Team exists because of Det. Lt. Coulter. He worked painstakingly to make this team what it is today. He would have been beyond proud to see all the members of the Massachusetts State Police who have chosen to be physically fit, mind and body, by running Boston, the greatest marathon in the world!
Thank you for visiting my Cops for Kids with Cancer Boston Marathon Fundraising page! I’m Dan Puckett, and this will be my fourth Boston Marathon, and eighth total marathon. I started this journey of torturing myself in honor of William Coulter and all that he did for this great organization. Please, if you can help me hit my fundraising goal! See you out on the course!
Hello, thank you for visiting my fundraising page. My name is chris and I am honored to have the opportunity to raise money for the Cops for Kids With Cancer Organization by running the 2023 Boston Marathon in April. This is an amazing organization whose mission is to provide assistance to families of children fighting cancer and improve their quality of life. All donations, big or small, will be greatly appreciated and will go a long way in helping those who need it most. Thank you!
Cops for kids with cancer is focussed on raising funds to provide assistance to families of children fighting cancer, to help lessen the financial burden and improve quality of life. As many of you know last year we had a successful fundraising campaign, but there was a little twist at the end and I was unable to run the Marathon as Wyatt decided to make his arrival. This year I am back and ready for the Marathon, training is underway and I hope to set a new goal with fundraising.
This will be my 4th consecutive year running the Boston Marathon on the Cops For Kids With Cancer Team. I am tremendously honored to have this opportunity once again. This organization does fantastic work and all donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping me reach my goal!
My name is Matt Johnson. On April 17, 2023, I will be running my second Boston Marathon with the Massachusetts State Police Marathon Team. I am honored to be raising money for Cops For Kids with Cancer. Please consider donating to this great cause. Thank you for any and all support.
It’s that time of year again! Time to watch me suffer at the 127th Boston Marathon, but most importantly it’s time to raise money for a great organization that is focused on helping children fighting cancer. I am beyond honored to run my second consecutive Boston Marathon in support of “Cops For Kids With Cancer” with the goal being able to help as many children as possible through such a difficult time. As a Veteran and Trooper, I’m grateful for another opportunity to run for the Mass State Police Ironman Marathon Team.
This is my first marathon and I am honored to be running in support of Cops for Kids With Cancer. Thank you all for your support and generosity, and especially for supporting kids fighting cancer and their families. I’m running in memory of Chloe.

Luck Number 7! This will be the 7th time crossing the most famous finish line in history. The most gratifying part is doing it for this incredible charity that I have the honor of being on the Board of Directors for. Cops For Kids With Cancer has helped hundreds of families who have children battling cancer and we will continue to do so! I take pride in following former Chairman of the Board, Lt. Billy Coulter’s footsteps and will keep traveling the road he paved to help as many families as possible! In regards to running the Boston Marathon, “It’s all about the finish line, NOT the finish time”! Please help me in reaching my goal. Any amount will help! Thank you
It has been a long time goal of mine to run the Boston Marathon. I am the father of 3 wonderful, but very busy kids with my wife of 12 years and a full time job as a trooper. Like most people between kids, home and work, life has felt non stop for the last 10+ years. I always told myself when things slow down I’ll do it next year. But by the time life slows this will be out of reach and no one is promised next year. So I finally committed and entered the drawing for the 2023 marathon and was lucky enough to be selected…so time to Forest Gump this.
Hey, my names Madison Devine and it’s my first marathon! I am running for Massachusetts State Police Striders to raise money for Cops For Kids With Cancer. I want to raise as much money as I can for them and would appreciate any donation. I have always wanted to run a Boston Marathon and the day is finally here. I hope to see you all cheering for me as make my final turn onto Boylston in April!
Hi everyone, my name is Ricky Rosales and this will be my second year supporting Cops For Kids with Cancer. Please consider donating to this great cause. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
I am a member of the Massachusetts State Police. I am humbled by this opportunity to run and raise money for this great charity. Thank you.
Boston Marathon #11 and counting…..and I’m excited to support Cops for Kids with Cancer again this year in honor of Billy! CFKWC was a cause so near and dear to him. Thank you for any donation big or small to support this wonderful charity.
This will be my 10th Boston Marathon running with Cops For Kids With Cancer. I run every year to honor friends and family who have fought this disease. We created our own local team – Team Masco – where we design shirts with the names of those loved ones on the back. Our slogan is “One person with courage is a majority. A few good people with courage are an army
I am a member of the Irish Police (An Garda Síochána) and this year I am travelling over to Boston to run alongside my colleagues in the Massachusetts State Police Department and complete Boston Marathon 2023. This will be my first time to visit Boston and run the famous Boston Marathon! Given the occasion and challenge ahead I am dedicating this run to support ‘Cops for Kids with Cancer’ and all the families it continues to affect. I think we can all agree this is an important and meaningful cause and I humbly ask for your support. Thank you!
I am 27 years old and a Boston native. I now live in Rumford Maine and I am a Trooper with the Maine State Police. I have been running for over 20 years. During that time I’ve completed several half marathons and two marathons, including Boston. Running has always been the sport that had my heart at hello. I have a personal connection with both law enforcement and running, as my family was directly affected by the 2013 bombing. My family members were at the finish line cheering when the attack changed our lives. This drove me to fiercely pursue a career in law enforcement as well as further my desire to run Boston the following year. To me, the term Boston Strong is personal. And now, to run The Boston Marathon as a State Trooper.. It means everything to me
I am so excited to be running the 2023 Boston Marathon with Cops for Kids with Cancer. Did you know that almost 10,000 children in the United States will be diagnosed with cancer this year? Cancer is the second leading cause of death in children in the U.S. Much of the money raised for Cops for Kids with Cancer goes directly to the families of those children to offset the costs of treatment, travel or bills. We all know someone who has had or has cancer and that person for many of us is a child. Please consider making a donation to this amazing organization and help me reach my fundraising goal!
This year I will be running my 22nd Boston Marathon. This marathon will be, not only my 25th overall marathon but also my 16th consecutive Boston Marathon. I’m striving for 25 consecutive.
As in the past, I will be raising money for Cops for Kids with Cancer. Cops for Kids with Cancer is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization focused on raising funds to provide assistance to families of children fighting cancer, to improve their quality of life.
Please support my fundraiser!
Everton De Castro

I’m Edward Kenney and am 54 years old. Growing up in Arlington as a child my mother would take us in to watch the Boston marathon every year. It’s been on my bucket list for a long time and every year I watch it i always say “next year”. This is the year. I’m looking to raise 5000.

I will be running my first marathon on April 17th in Boston. As a father of 3 young kids, I can’t think of a better charity to raise money for than Cops for Kids with Cancer. I hope to exceed my intended fundraising goal and thank everyone in advance for their generosity and donations.
After working the Boston Marathon for the past 2 years, I finally decided to run it. I am honored to be running the 2023 Boston Marathon with the Massachusetts State Police Ironman Marathon Team supporting Cops for Kids with Cancer. Thank you to any and all that will help me raise money for this amazing charity!

I am running the Boston Marathon this year with friends from the MSP to raise money for Cops for Kids with Cancer. After talking about it for many years, I have decided to give it a shot to raise money for a great cause and to show my two boys that their dad still has a little gas in the tank. Any amount is greatly appreciated and if you can’t donate please share with others.
AG of New Jersey and avid runner.
My name is Gina Pedro and I will be running my first ever marathon this spring to raise money for Cops for Kids with Cancer. It is an honor to run on the Ironman Marathon Team to raise money for an organization that supports families during the toughest of times. CFKWC funds go toward numerous expenses to include: non-covered treatment or medications, travel and parking for the hospital, eating away from home, babysitters and possible home alterations. It is also the 10 year anniversary of the marathon attack on April 15, 2013 and it is humbling to run on the MSP team in memory of those who were lost or injured. Any donation, big or small is appreciated. Please help me reach my goal of $2500. Thank you! See you in Boston!
Hi, my name is Mike Sullivan, and this year I am honored to be running the 127th Boston Marathon representing the Massachusetts State Police. Hi, my name is John Mindek and I am humbled to represent the Massachusetts State Police at the 127th Boston Marathon. Running in the Boston Marathon has been a life long, bucket list goal for me. I want to show my children that if you put your mind to it, anything can be achieved one step at a time! I am running to support the amazing charity, Cops for Kids with Cancer. This charity provides support to families to remove some of the financial burden so all of their energy can go to helping their child beat cancer and live a healthy life. Any donation, no matter the size, would be greatly appreciated. See you at the finish line!

Hi! I’ll be running the Boston marathon with Cops for Kids with Cancer. This organization means a lot to me. I’m looking forward to running with other members of the MSP team for such a good cause. Your support is greatly appreciated – thank you!
Always an honor and privilege to be running my 21st consecutive Boston Marathon with the State Police Marathon Team on April 17th, 2023, raising funds for Cops For Kids with Cancer. This year, again I have the distinct honor of running the marathon in memory of Dlt Billy Coulter and my MSP Academy classmate and best buddy, Sgt Michael Andrews. This will be only my 3rd Boston Marathon running without Billy, several of which we crossed side by side! Please read about our mission on the Cops for Kids with Cancer web page and consider donating and helping me raise funds for our charity! Thank You!
My name is Mike Lynch, and I’m doing my first marathon for cops for kids for cancer.
My name is Mike McCabe and I am grateful to have been selected to the Ironman Marathon Team 2023. My entire personal and professional life has been in some way linked to the betterment of our children whether it was investigating crimes against them, teaching them or coaching them. It has been a personal goal to live for their enrichment. Luckily, these 60 year old legs are still carrying me forward. No child, regardless of circumstance, deserves a diagnosis of Cancer. If I can be a small part of easing their pain through treatment, prevention and cure, then running 26.2 miles for their benefit is what I am going to do. You can help by giving generously to my fundraising page on behalf of Cops for Kids with Cancer.
Hey everyone! I will be running my 2nd Boston Marathon with the charity team, Cops For Kids with Cancer, through the Massachusetts State Police. This organization provides money to families so that their focus can be on their child beating cancer instead of other financial burdens. Any donation is greatly appreciated, thank you!
Thank you for any contribution that you can make toward helping children fighting cancer, your donation is truly appreciated.
I am very excited to be running my fifth marathon, especially to benefit Cops for Kids with Cancer. Please consider donating to this great cause. No donation is too small. All of the money raised will help families that need help during very difficult times. I appreciate everyone’s support and encouragement!
Hi everyone! I am very lucky to be part of a great marathon team and an even better charity. This will be my 11th Boston Marathon and I’ve been fortunate to have been so inspired by the Cops for Kids with Cancer charity and Bill Coulter. His spirit remains with us and the charity has helped so many children who are bravely fighting difficult circumstances. Any amount of contribution will be truly appreciated and used to help a wonderful cause. Thank you for your support, Ed
This will be my 13th consecutive Boston. 14 Boston’s all together. And this year was my 40th NYC Marathon. So it appears that I have 55 so far, with one Philadelphia Marathon and one Long Island Marathon in addition to the others.
Robert “Bobby” Twitchell

I am Sam Muto and I will be running the Boston Marathon this year for the first time. More importantly, I am running to support Cops for Kids with Cancer. This fundraiser gives over 94% of funds raised directly to the families of children battling cancer. I am seeking to raise a goal of $2500 for this cause and anything you wish to contribute is appreciated! I am excited to run as a member of the Massachusetts State Police Team. Thanks for supporting me!
On April 17th, I will be running in my 15th Boston Marathon to raise money for Cops For Kids With Cancer in memory of Detective Lieutenant Bill Coulter. I appreciate your continued support to help me reach my fundraising goal for this amazing charity.
I’m inspired by my dear friend, Detective Lt. Billy Coulter, to run another Boston Marathon and to raise funds for his favorite charity, Cops for Kids with Cancer. Billy “Ironman” Coulter of the Massachusetts State Police passed away in the fall of 2019 and this is one of the ways I can keep his legacy alive. After finishing my 26th consecutive Boston Marathon in 2022, I am training lightly so I can try to keep the streak going. It was a blessing to be able to run last year’s race on Patriot’s Day once again with thousands of fans cheering us all on. Looking forward to it again. As always, I try to cross the finish line ahead of Retired Lt. Steve Pugsley.
Greetings, my name is Christopher Johnson and I am an active member of the Massachusetts State Police. I currently work in homicide investigations on the South Coast. I am 37 years old and grew up in the Commonwealth. I served for eight years on active duty in the United States Marine Corps infantry before leaving for the private sector. I eventually left the private sector to join the Massachusetts State Police. I am married and the father of three beautiful girls who work tirelessly to turn my hair from brown to gray.
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page! This will be my fourth consecutive Boston Marathon with Cops for Kids. This year is special, as it’s the tenth anniversary of the bombings. I’ll always have that day imprinted in my mind and look forward to honoring the victims and everyone affected. I am blessed to be able to turn my passion for fitness into something that will help children who are fighting for their health. My fundraising goal is $2,000 with the hopes of raising as much money as possible to help kids who are fighting cancer. Any donation no matter the size is greatly appreciated and makes a huge difference! This is a charity where ALL of the donations are given to the families of children diagnosed with cancer. Thank you!
I will be running my 2nd Boston Marathon in honor of Ironman DLT Billy Coulter. What better way to run my this marathon than to honor Ironman and raise money for Cops for Kids with Cancer. I’m honored and blessed to be a part of this team and to raise money for this charity. Cancer ***** and kids with cancer ***** even more. Please help me reach my goal and I promise that I will work hard at reaching my goal of running my first Boston Marathon.
36 year old Air Force veteran, Massachusetts State Trooper and father of 3 running first ever marathon on behalf of cops for kids with cancer.
Year #18! This year, I am hoping to raise $1,800 for Cops For Kids With Cancer. I am amazed at your generosity every year and appreciate every single contribution. It’s been an honor to raise money for this incredible local charity. Let’s do it again!
I have been a fundraising for different causes over the years, mostly to support the families of fallen first responders through The 100 Club of Massachusetts, but this year I have quadrupled my work by additionally taking on the mission of fundraising for humanitarian efforts in Ukraine, since I was born there and still currently have family there. Recognizing all the negative effects the stress of the war has had on my health, I decided to run long distances once again and eventually 2 to 3 mile runs turned into 5 and 7s. The Boston Marathon has always been something I have been hoping to do in my life, since I have only run Washington DC in the past. My family like many others out there, having been touched by cancer, there is no better cause to fundraise for, train and represent on Marathon Monday than Cops for Kids with Cancer. I am fundraising with passion, hoping to raise $20,000 and will run in April with honor.
On April 17th, I will be running my third Boston Marathon and my 14th overall marathon with the Massachusetts State Police Ironman team. In this endeavor, it is my great honor and privilege to raise money and support the amazing charity, Cops for Kids with Cancer. All money raised will help these brave kids and their families battle cancer. These courageous boys and girls and their families have to endure enough…together we can help them have one less worry as they undergo the fight of their life.
Hello and thank you for visiting my fundraising page! My name is Brendan Crowther and I have the opportunity to participate in my first Boston Marathon. It will be my honor and privilege representing this organization as well as the many families affected by cancer. As a Trooper, I will be running with the Massachusetts State Police Ironman Marathon Team. Thank you for your continued support!🇺🇸
My name is Timothy Concannon. For my bio I’d like to keep it simple! “Thank you for any generous contribution that you can make towards the fight against childhood cancer. Your donation is greatly appreciated!”
