Cops for Kids with Cancer and the Marathon

Runner Requirements

If you are interested in applying to be part of the Cops for Kids with Cancer Ironman Marathon Team, you must be able to meet the following criteria:

For runners in need of an entry/bib into the race:

  • Commit to raising $10,000 USD
  • Pay a $375 race entry fee to the Boston Athletic Association in January.

For runners with their own race entry bib either Qualified or invitational:

  • Commit to raising $3,000 USD

The organizer of the world-famous Boston Marathon, the Boston Athletic Association (BAA), gives back to local communities through their Official Charity Program.

This program provides invitational entries to the Boston Marathon to select non-profit charitable organizations, such as ours. We use these entries to recruit individual runners who pledge to raise funds for our cause.

To be selected as a charity partner in the Official Charity Program, the BAA assesses any potential partner based on the charity’s focus to strengthen local communities and its alignment with The BAA’s mission of promoting a healthy lifestyle through sports, especially running.

The Cops for Kids With Cancer charitable organization is extremely proud to be a member of the Official Charity Program.
