In Memory of Billy Coulter
Bill served on the Massachusetts State Police for over 45 years, achieving the rank of Detective Lieutenant. He was a member of the Massachusetts State Police Commissioned Officers Association. Bill was a longtime cancer survivor and passionate about Cops for Kids with Cancer, where he was the Chairman at the time of his death. His other passion was physical fitness, completing over 20 Ironman Triathlons and 150 marathons, including 36 consecutive Boston Marathons and every Disney World Marathon up until his passing. Many runners ran virtually last year to raise funds in his honor. This year we are able to once again run the live race on the course. With fewer numbers allotted due to Covid restrictions, we have to work even harder to achieve our ambitious goal. Please consider supporting one of our runners in Bill’s memory.

Rhode Island State Police
On Monday, October 11, 2021, the Rhode Island State Police will be participating in the 125th running of the Boston Marathon for the charity Cops for Kids with Cancer. As a team, Corporal Dan O’Neil and Troopers Kate Hirsch, Matt Fox, Jeff Konieczny, and Tyler Adams have committed to raising $20,000 to successfully assisting families within the State of Rhode Island with the financial and the emotional difficulties that come with having a child battling cancer. Please consider donating to Cops for Kids with Cancer in support of the 2021 Rhode Island State Police Marathon Team.
The Providence Police Marathon Team
On Monday, October 11, 2021 Providence Police Officers Kyle Endres, Sean Murnighan and Louis Ferreras will run the 2021 Boston Marathon to support Cops for Kids with Cancer. It is the goal of these Officers to raise $5,000 to help families with the financial burden that comes with battling cancer. This support will have a profound impact on those within our community who need it most. They are not fighting alone! Please help support this great cause.
If you include the 26.2 I ran last year on Marathon Monday despite the official race being canceled, then this Fall Boston Marathon will be my second. Please donate, any amount every bit counts!”
Thank you for the support!
I’ll be running the Boston Marathon for my third year as a member of the MA State Police Marathon Team raising money for the charity Cops For Kids With Cancer. This year will be a special year as we honor Detective Lieutenant William “Billy” Coulter. DLt. Coulter did so much for so many and will forever be an inspiration to us all. Thank you in advance for supporting me, the MSP Marathon team, and so importantly Cops For Kids With Cancer. This was a cause important to Billy and with your support, it shall ensure DLt. Coulter’s legacy lives on.
My name is Carrie Devin and I am running the 2021 Boston Marathon to fundraise a minimum of $1,000 for Cops for Kids with Cancer. This is my 10th Boston marathon and 12th marathon overall. This is the sixth time that I have had the honor of participating on the MA State Police CFKWC Marathon Team team as a police officer for the Brockton Police Department. Any donation in any amount is greatly appreciated and supports a worthy cause and an admirable organization!
Thank you for your support in helping me raise my fundraising goal for “Cops For Kids With Cancer.” As a cancer survivor myself, it is an honor to be running the 2021 Boston Marathon and representing The Massachusetts State Police. The finances we raise help alleviate the financial burden families face when they get the devastating diagnosis of their child. Again, thank you for your donations and I’ll see you at the finish line!
Thank you for your support as I run in the 2021 Boston Marathon with the Massachusetts State Police Marathon Team to raise money for Cop For Kids With Cancer in memory of Detective Lieutenant Bill Coulter.
I’m inspired by my dear friend, Detective Lt. Billy Coulter, to run another Boston Marathon and to raise funds for his favorite charity, Cops for Kids with Cancer. Billy “Ironman” Coulter of the Massachusetts State Police passed away in the fall of 2019 and this is one of the ways I can keep his legacy alive. After doing the virtual marathon last year, I am training lightly so I can finish my 25th consecutive Boston Marathon this year, hopefully, on the real course in front of large crowds. As always, I try to cross the finish line ahead of Retired Lt. Steve Pugsley. Thank you so much for the donation, it is truly appreciated!
A Police officer who runs for a cause and has been running the Boston Marathon to support the CFKWC since 2013. I plan on raising as much money as I can for those families in need. Thank you!
I’m excited to be running the 125th Marathon and raising money for such a great organization “Cops for Kids With Cancer” in the process. Please consider donating as I work to achieve my fundraising goal with the MSP team. Thank you in advance.
These past 2 years I have been reminded that life is for living, and can be too short. Being physically and mentally able to run this marathon is humbling and invigorating. To be able to do such an amazing thing in my short life makes me excited to fundraise to allow others a chance to experience a longer life as well. I will think of all the survivors, those continuing to fight an uphill battle, and all those with us in spirit every step of the way. I am honored and grateful to be running for this cause, and appreciate all your emotional support through my training and financial support for this incredible organization!
My name is Zachary Bilotta and I am representing the New Hampshire State Police in this year’s Boston Marathon. I ran the virtual marathon last year, and had a great time with friends raising money for the Cops for Kids with Cancer foundation. I hope to continue being able to help raise funds throughout the summer for this great cause.
Brandon Knox, after last years cancellation the 2021 Boston Marathon will be my fifth overall, and my fourth running with Massachusetts State Police and Cops for Kids with Cancer. The previous 4 years I have had the opportunity to raise money for this great organization and look forward to doing so again. The Marathon is a great source of fundraising for this organization and last years cancellation definitely impacted fundraising, so this year lets raise as much as we can. Thank you in advance for the donations and helping with this great cause, which is focussed on raising funds to provide assistance to families of children fighting cancer, to improve their quality of life.
This year will mark my sixth consecutive Boston Marathon (if last years virtual edition counts). I’m honored to be running in support of Cops for Kids with Cancer & DLT Billy Coulter, a man who touched more lives, spirits, and families than he could ever know. Billy used to say that when you cross the finish line you will have accomplished a milestone that will be in your obituary. This year will not be the same without his humor, smile, pride and expertise on race day, but I am confident we will make him proud.
On October 11, 2021, I will be running my first ever marathon and I am so excited to have it be the Boston Marathon in support of Cops For Kids With Cancer. Cops for Kids with Cancer is a phenomenal organization that focuses on raising funds to provide assistance to families of children fighting cancer, to improve their quality of life. Please help me support this worthy cause as I run the 2021 Boston Marathon with the Massachusetts State Police Team! Thank you so much for your support!
On October 11, 2021, I will be running my first Boston Marathon in honor of Ironman DLT Billy Coulter. What better way to run my first marathon than to honor Ironman and raise money for Cops for Kids with Cancer. I’m honored and blessed to be a part of this team and to raise money for this charity. Cancer ***** and kids with cancer ***** even more. Please help me reach my goal and I promise that I will work hard at reaching my goal of running my first Boston Marathon.
Thank you everyone in advance for donating in my name to Cops for Kids with Cancer. This organization has touched so many families’ lives over the years. This will be my seventh consecutive Boston Marathon. I run with honor in the memory of Billie Coulter and Richie Sementalli, both staples on the Massachusetts State Police Marathon Team. “Learn to run when feeling the pain:then push harder”(William Sigei). Thank you again, Nick.
I have been working as a Superior Court Officer for the Commonwealth of MA in Middlesex County for over twenty years. Cops for Kids with Cancer is such an important charity for kids and I have enjoyed supporting it over the years. This will be my twenty-third consecutive Boston Marathon and my fiftieth total Marathons. As the husband of a cancer survivor, this charity takes on special meaning for me. I am humbled that Cops for Kids has asked me to run for their organization and I am blessed to have the opportunity to run for such a great cause.
I am excited that on October 11th I will be running my 8th Boston Marathon. This year I will be running in memory of DLT William “Billy” Coulter who I was lucky to meet on my first Boston Marathon in 2010. I am honored to be running as a member of the Massachusetts State Police Ironman Marathon Team. Our Marathon Team is running in support of a great cause near and dear to Billy’s heart – Cops for Kids with Cancer a 501(c)(3) charitable organization focused on raising funds to provide assistance to families of children fighting cancer. All of the money raised will go to families in need. It is my hope that my family and friends will help me reach my fundraising goal by donating to this amazing charity. I appreciate everyone’s support and encouragement. Thank you!!
